TEACHING

Tricia taught WRITING (fiction, rhetoric, business writing) and LITERATURE at the University of Maryland, George Mason University, Oregon State University, and The Attic Institute in Portland, Oregon. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from George Mason University.

Tricia taught FLUTE, RECORDER, AND MUSIC & MOVEMENT CLASSES through her own Suzuki-pedagogy music studio, at the Community Music Center in Portland, Oregon, at LeBar Music in Toronto, Ontario, and in a variety of schools (pre-K and K-2). She has an ARCT flute performance degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music at University of Toronto, and she is trained/certified in both Suzuki flute & recorder pedagogy (a method for instrumental learning) as well as Music Together (a music & movement program for young children).

Tricia taught ARTS ADMINISTRATION at Portland State University (Oregon), and has mentored PSU students in special projects in the nonprofit world. She has led an extensive career in the nonprofit world (see the CONSULTING page for more information).

    • for children aged 4-5 without parents
    • for preschool aged children (3-5) in preschool setting
    • for children up to grade 2 in a school setting
