Tricia completed Artists Communities: A directory of residencies in the United States that offer time and space for creativity (Allworth Press, New York, NY; 2 editions: 1996 and 2000) when she was Executive Director of the Alliance of Artists’ Communities. Acknowledgements to those who assisted her–including the entire field of artists’ communities at the time, who filled out questionnaires and responded to repeated requests for information–are on page ix in the excerpt. Stanley Kunitz wrote the preface for the book.
